The Shetland Land Rover Club was formed in 1995 and has blossomed into an active
Club with around 50 members. With a variety of events held throughout the year Land
Rover owners have plenty of scope for fun.
We are members of the Motor Sports Association and are also incorporated into the
Shetland Emergency Plan, providing logistical support when needed - whatever the
weather.

The third trial of the season was held at Wormadale in unusually warm sunny weather. As regular competitors at this site will testify Wormadale can be a very bleak site, being on the top of the hill and is usually wet and windy – at least when we trial! Eight drivers and a couple of passengers braved the heat wave and prepared themselves for an exciting day negotiating the six cunningly laid out courses. Again, as in the previous trial, the vehicles were evenly split between the two classes (LWB and SWB).
The course gates tended to be on the tight side but, strangely, SWBs had to watch some of the tight turns necessary in order to line themselves up for the next gate, whereas the LWB used their one and only allowed shunt to great advantage
