SLRC - The UK’s ‘TOP’ Club
The Shetland Land Rover Club was formed in 1995 and has blossomed into an active Club with around 50 members. With a variety of events held throughout the year Land Rover owners have plenty of scope for fun.
We are members of the Motor Sports Association and are also incorporated into the Shetland Emergency Plan, providing logistical support when needed - whatever the weather.

Trials can often be a trial to organise and this one caused no end of trouble owing to the extremely wet ground conditions which rendered large areas of the site unusable. Last year the trial at this same site had to be abandoned due to rain of biblical proportions, so bad in fact that it caused landslides on the nearby hills.
Things were not quite that bad this year but it took a considerable time to set the seven sections which were driven throughout the day. Numbers were down a little but with the wet conditions the trial was no quicker as there was much towing and winching done amongst the competing vehicles.
